And a sigh of relief. And a little pride mixed in. Only because last year's swim lessons brought the worst out in me. The thought of another round of lessons made me break out into hives. But the truth of the matter is, you have to learn to swim. It's not a luxury, it's a neccesity. So, we ventured out and bit the bullet. His teacher, miss Sandy, was just the encouragement he needed. They started out well. As the week went on, he seemed to be a little more timid. He really really hates going under water. Still, he would tearfully at times do everything miss Sandy asked of him. Though with a death grip on her arm. After every lesson he would get out of the pool and say, "I love swim lessons!" Perplexed, but pleased, we left to return each morning at 10:30. I made a new friend too. Kristiana made the week so much more fun and bearable! We discovered that our boys were two peas in a pod, from being water-shy, to being irregular--they were a pair. Our last day was sweet for me. Though I know it was not fun for him, I was happy he finished.
