Another Tradition!

This 4th of July was the 2nd Annual Breakfast and Parade! The Polnicks, The other Wilsons and us all get together early and eat a YUMMY, delicious, fattening breakfast before marching in the Harris Creek Neighborhood parade! This year, Kimberly is a month away from giving birth and Kendra is early pregnant. I have to say, I DID NOT feel left out of the preggo sorority as we marched in the 100 degree heat at 9 am! I can't believe there will be 2 more kids added to the festivities next year. Heck, we can have our own parade at this rate! We also decided to let the boys and Kenley ride in the "Ford truck", a mini-model of the F-150, courtesy of Gigi and Pop Pop as well as the Polnick's Artic Cat! Here we are loadin' up! Mug and CDP are ready to roll....
Kenley and Colton are ready to speed down the streets (where will the new one sit next year?)
Off we go to meet the rest of the parade...
Since REW is a wiggle-out-of-control worm, she was strapped into BOB.

When we met the rest of the parade. They sort of left us in the dust! Colton and Kenley kept up, but next year, we may have to ride in a quicker apparatus! Mug and CDP were way way way back...and so were we!

We finally decided to just plop down and watch the parade because there was no catching the rest of them!

When the parade ended, we checked out the fire truck for a minute or two...
4 Wilsons + 1 in the oven!
And these 3 are just too much for me. They seriously melt my heart. I just adore their friendship and their individual personalites. Each of them is so different, but they are the best of buds. Look at the different personalities in each photo...

Packin' up to go cool off in the pool!
Kenley is tuckered out, but REW is rip-roarin' ready for more!
I love our little tradition! This is the kind of thing that always got me excited when I thought of having a family. I am blessed blessed blessed. Love our family and friends. What a fun morning!
Hope you all had a wonderful day as well.

So I came across your blog a long time ago thru Alli Penuel's blog..(we grew up together in Wichita Falls). I read your blog because our kids are about the same age, Jackson will be three in August and Sophie was born Oct. 2nd. Anyways, too funny your Reese and Sophie had the same dress and Jackson has that F150. Also, I decided to write because I was born in Waco and lived in Harris Creek. We only lived there for about a month because we had just finished building our house and then we moved to Wichita Falls. Funny, sometimes when we go back to see family we will drive by the old house and it has grown so much since we were there. My parents built the house on the corner of Bluebonnet Circle! Anyways hope all is well. You can check out our family at mirzafamilylife.blogspot.com.
