I want ya'll to know that I am not a health guru. I do not always eat as good as I should. Nor do I exercise enough. I do try though! I try to be healthy and find fun things to keep me motivated to do so. Would you like me to share some things I love? Do ya? Do ya?? I don't want to be self-indulgent, I just want to share!
1. MMMMM....this pizza is so so so good! You know those days where you just don't want to cook? A pizza sounds perfect, but so so so naughty. Also, frozen pizza brings a faint scent of a fraternity house from my younger years, manchildren living on 99 cent Totinos. so ewww to those. This pizza is different. It is full of fiber and protein. So tasty. No at all what I thought. Tristan loves it (though don't go solely on that because he would eat dirt or anything else I put in front of his face). They are a bit pricey and to be honest, if you live with any men, boys, breastfeeding moms (eh,em)--then you probably need two. They are not very big. Probably one of the reasons they are healty! 2. OK, this my new most favoritist thing EVER. THIS has changed my runs forever. The Nike+ and I-pod combo. SO FUN. My brother gave me this a couple of years ago and I am just now utilizing it. You put the sensor in your shoe (they make special Nike running shoes for it, but you can put them in a pouch in any shoe I think) and it syncs with your Ipod. It interrupts your songs to tell you how far you've gone, how far you have left. You can customize your workouts in miles or kilometers. Here is the best part though--after you run, you sync your i-pod with nikeplus.com and they track all of your runs! You can set goals for yourself (i am running 50 miles in 4 weeks), train for a distance run, run for weight loss....tons of stuff you can do with it! Also, people can join your challenges on-line! I think I have 22 people doing my challenge. It really is so fun and if you are looking for a good way to chart progress or train for a distance run, it makes it super fun! If you go to the website above, click on gear & music. It is only $19 if you already have an I-pod! It almost has me excited enough to run a half marathon. We'll see.
3. Probiotics. Lovin' these. I am all about natural medicines. About 4 or 5 weeks ago, Mug was having some horrible constipation issues. So bad, that one night, we almost took him to the ER. I will most certainly spare you from any graphic details, but I assure you, it was bad. It happened on and off for the next couple of weeks. I had been doing some research, mommy style, about the benefits of probiotics. They supposedly are wonderful for your digestive track, putting good bacteria into your system. They are proven to lessen the effects of diarrhea illnesses and diaper rash and help with overall immune system. I started them 2 weeks ago today and OH MY GOSH. Hu-mongo difference. Almost every single morning, my little Mug's system is like clockwork! I am a believer so much that I got some for myself this weekend. I have a weird disease and digestive problems myself. It only takes 1/4 teaspoon in their juice or milk. I have Jarrow Baby Jarro-dophilus. Got it at HEB in the natural foods sections. I'm just sayin'. Worked for us.
Also, I have been taking fenugreek with blessed thistle for about 3 months to increase my milk supply since I work out and burn so many calories. I find using both together to be very effective if any of you have milk supply issues.
4. Lastly, I just want to throw this out there because I just got a delivery from them as I was writing this post. Not health related. If you have not used zappos.com you should. I ordered a pair of kickboxing shoes on Saturday night, with regular shipping and they are here today at 3. That's the second time it has been that quick. Yeah for quick shoes.
Let me know what you think!

We are firm believers in Probiotics!! We use the little powder packets to put in the kids milk (lactinex- in the refrigerator behind the counter but available without a prescription:) ). I for sure use them EVERY time either of my kids are on a antibiotic after Hudson had SEVERE problems to the overuse of antibiotics in his first year. (thank you, long lost pedi and ignorant me) anyway, we also all have an Activia yogurt per day- full of probiotics and yummy and recommended by our pediatric GI specialist! :) And yes, my little boy's system now works like clock-work! :) I'll have to try that pizza!
I love Zappos!! The same thing happened to me...I ordered and they came the next day without any extra shipping charges. Love it!
I hope you don't mind I found your blog :) It looks like things are great with you. your kids are adorable! Tell your family hello for me.
Thanks for the tip on probiotics! I've been considering using them for a few weeks now because our immune systems just seem to be so upside down lately. Oh, and I almost bought some of those kashi pizzas this week but was skeptical. Guess I'll add them to my shopping list! Thanks, Nicki!
Such fabulous tips!! I'll definetly have to try the fenugreek this time around! Do you watch Celebrity Apprentice {I know, I cannot help myself!!}? Anyway, this past week they were working with Zappos and the main point the Zappos CEO wanted to get across was their excellent customer service. Guess it's true!
