Showtime!
Did anyone else think this was cookoo--why would they leave Sanjaya and Hayley? If I were the judges, I would be embarrassed that I let them get through! Oh well, I guess the public hath spoken and I need not complain. I need to start voting so good people can stay on! Although, I think this year is pretty down from last year. I felt like last year was instantaneous likability to certain contestants--for me--it was Taylor all the way. I am not in love with anyone on the show this year. My picks are Chris and Blake (loooove the beat box, PLUS he sang 311--Lauren, does that bring back memories?) and Melinda and Gina. What do you all think? It will be interesting to see how everything turns out on the big stage. However, in the words of Randy J. "I don't know, dawg, it was a'right for me."

I totally agree! Richard and I were shocked when Sanjaya was left and when Sabrina was let go. Did you happen to catch Simon's face when Sundance was let go and Sanjaya was kept...totally dumbfounded, it was priceless. I personally LOVE Blake! I think his beat-boxing is awesome and he is totally original. I would have to say my favorites are Melinda and Blake. I really loved Sundance because he seemed so genuine, but sadness he is gone. Let's keep the Idol posts going...I'm so addicted, shame, shame!
Oooh, I really like Gina, as well. She did really well this week. Do you ever notice that when the judges think the contestants are "pitchy" it sounds great to the t.v. viewers and when we think it is "pitchy" the judges seem to think it's great! Strange.

i think blake and gina are the most orignal ones! i liked sundance as well, although he did pretty poorly most nights. but sanjaya--oh my sweet heavens--what is he anyway??! he is a really pretty manchild!
i wonder if them being there live affects the way they hear it vs. how we hear it.
i'll keep the posts coming! i am trying to get into it this season...i just loved the contestants so much last season it is going to be hard to beat!
Yes...totally brings me back! I was singing right along with him, and I couldn't believe none of the judges hadn't heard it! I think there are a few who are awesome...just as good as past years in my book, but the rest can just go home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Blake and Melinda. Laquisha is awesome, but I am in love with the other two. Gina is growing on me, I like her personality. Sanjaya is horrendous but has the junior high girl vote. I miss last year, but I'm addicted already and think we'll fall just as much in love with these guys!

I know! I told Josh that it sounded like something that could've been at my high school talent show! Pizzaz was probably more like it, though! I thought it hilarious when Simon said it sounded like when children get up to perform for adults and it wasn't a good one.
BLAKE is so my guy! I am on the same train as everyone else, this year is not as entertaining as last year!
