29 weeks

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Another week flies by and the end of December reminds me of how close I am to Tristan's birth! Am I even close to being ready?

This past week could be entitled "The Week of Parties"! Last week, we had a Visiting Angels party in Temple, then the Visiting Angel employee Christmas party, then we had a party with friends on Saturday night! I will say my waistline is showing the pounds of sugar I have consumed in the past week and Tristan is hyper active with everything I am pumping into him!! I am so ready to not have lovely cookies and cakes right under my nose daily! I think this week is marking the time in our show where my shirts and pants are getting too small! How crazy! I am carrying waaaay out in the front and my back is feeling the weight every night around 7:00!! Needless to say, I am pooped! I started the pregnant woman getting up out of her chair look. You know what I am talking about. The "I am struggling look".

Tristan has started waking me up in the night with his movements. He feels like he is swimming and everytime I change positions, so does he! I love that feeling so much! There is really nothing better than to feel your child respond to your every laugh, move or sounds you make! We are connected as one and it is such a strange, but now such a familiar phenomenon!

Christmas is this week and it is always our most favorite time! Brent really goes all out and makes it fun! He is going to be a great daddy, making Christmas so special for the kids! We will spend Christmas Eve with the Wilsons and Christmas Day with my parents. Both families get together for Christmas Eve service and then dinner and presents. It is a real blessing that we can do that! It will be interesting to see the family dynamics now that there is one baby around. Kids bring back a new essence to Christmas, I think!

"For unto us a child is born, unto us, a Son is given. And the Government shall be upon his shoulders. And He will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 1:9
