Really, there was no cause for me to say that except for it is the appropriate day for it. I do heart seeing all the trick or treaters, though since moving to my neighborhood there is quite a potpourri of goblins. A lot of them are teenagers who do not try to dress up. Brent will ask them who they are are they will say famous athletes like Dwayne Wade or Terrell Owens, however, they are in T-shirts and jeans. We base how much candy we give on the success and effort put fourth. Those type "treaters" would get a piece of gum from us. Anyway, it will be an interesting night as usual.
Brent is sick. He had a 101.4 fever last night and was shaking and aching all over. Uck. I am very proud of myself, because I feel I adequately nursed him to a good temp today and he is up and getting around. I am thankful because he is not the typical "man baby" who whine and mope when sick. He actually tries to work and do activity. I have to almost literally tie him down. So, I know he is really, really sick when he relents.
Is this time change freaking anyone else out? I am ready for bed at 7:00 now because it is so dark. However, I must say that the sun coming thru my bedroom window is a good thing-it helps me want to wake up earlier. We also totally cleared out our guest room for Tristan's nursery! It felt good to have that done--now all we have to do is put all the new stuff in! AND our bedding arrived yesterday just in time!! No crib yet, that should be here hopefully today or tomorrow. I also made Corrie's delicious caramel popcorn recipe. You should make some too. You can find it on her blog. You will be the most popular kid in school if you let others partake in it.

Yes, the time change has thrown me! I keep thinking I am late for work in the morning because it is so light outside. But I do love that it helps me wake up. Have fun trick or treating...hope Brent feels better soon!
How exciting that you got the guest room cleared! I'm so jealous!! We are still at least a month from moving into our house, and you had better believe the nursery and Carson's room will be the first ones tackled. I feel like I had so much more done at this point with Carson....oh well...I'm sure it will all get done in time.
Have so much fun nesting!!!!
mel,
girl, take your time!! you will have soooo much fun moving into your house and making it a home! i needed to do it for my husband--he is slightly ocd with those kinds of things.
I can't wait to see the finished product!! I am so feeling the time change this year. We usually stay up until 10:30-11, but I'm asleep on the couch at 9-9:30 like I was when I was pregnant. It is so much worse, too, now that James is here, because you can't tell a baby to stay up and sleep an extra hour. I have been getting up at 5:30-6:00am!
The time change has taken some getting used to...seriously! I'm glad you've enjoyed the caramel corn! I made a fresh batch this weekend and it is almost all gone! I can't wait to see the nursery!!! What does the crib look like?
Corrie,
i made a huge batch 2 weeks ago and took it to work and it was adored, so i made it again and i got a raise. just kidding, but it is already gone!
my crib is a blue jenny lind (old fashioned. i got it for a really, really good deal, so when it is your turn--you have to ask me all of my secrets!
