Super Powers

Supposedly one of the rare, but true side-effects of having Hemochromatosis is sometimes, you have so much iron in your body, you can set off alarms in airports. Brent considers this a perk. Well, I know it is not an airport, but at Barnes and Nobles yesterday, I walked thru the doors and set off the alarm. You know how you feel when that happens, you feel a little embarrassed. Brent was urging me to do it again. He loved that perk of the disorder most. I told him to hold his horses, if it were true, I would set it off on the way out. Well, I did. Brent was thrilled and pulled some other spectators aside. He briefly explained my condition. They too, were enthralled and wanted to get a piece of the action. The new guy held the door open as I walked thru. Again it went off. Brent tells me to drop my purse and go. Again. "Take your necklace off". Again. Earrings! Again. Don't worry, folks, nothing else was removed. Afterall, I was not clad in steel wool. The new man and his girlfriend looked at me with smiles and said, "You made my day." Glad. Glad to know that. It is official. I have a new super power.

That is hilarious!! So crazy that it would do that! I guess you'll have many days of explainin' yourself.

Too funny. I have had days where I set off every alarm in town, but can't figure out what it is! Then, someone told me that clothes from Ann Taylor and Old Navy have little tags inside them that need to be cut off...or....bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz off go all the alarms!
Grancy?
