Little Victory Celebrations

Brent and I decided that we need to celebrate eachother's "Little Victories and Accomplishments". We decided when one of us does something good or finishes something they have been working on, we will celebrate however the person would like. It has to be fairly inexpensive and reasonable (i.e. we will not be going to Hawaii anytime soon b/c I now have my own kickboxing class) but also fun and original. Brent was offered a job to write for a college recruiting site about Baylor basketball recruits. That's a big accomplishment, a little victory. I am proud of him. Therefore, he got to pick what the celebration was. First, let me give some background. My husband has always LOVED sleeping in weird places and loves to make adventures out of bedtime. When I first started dating him in high school, his room was laid out like a campsite. Sleeping bags and pillows strewn about, snacks and Dr. Pepper at hand, and a plethora of movies to pick from. Every night, he put on a movie to fall asleep to and slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. Well, that spilled over into our nuptials (not the sleeping bag part, but the movie to fall asleep to). So, all this to say, his celebration wish was to have a "slumber party" at home. We moved all the furniture, pulled out our sofa sleeper, Brent put our Down mattress on top of the sleeper to appease me, rented a movie, made coffee and homemade popcorn and had a slumber party. We rented a rather creepy movie, "The Machinist", and to make the full effect, the lights had to be off. It was an all out event. I must admit, it was fun. Except for the slumber part. The Pugs took over the middle of the bed, leaving us humans sleeping on the awful edges of the mattress. Our backs are aching this a.m. but it was fun. Oh and we went to Saturday night service last night, so we got to sleep in! A very well thought out plan!
