...BUT you can have fun going to Washington D.C. and trying! Our trip was one part sad (Baylor falls hard to Purdue), but lots of other parts happy!
The Polnicks and Kimberly's grandmother, MeMaw, joined us on our adventure! The boys were actually, dare I say it, perfect angels! They endured 3 flights and multiple walks in the cold wind without much resistance at all!! They were so precious waking up looking for each other every morning. Creighton is definitely the older one, following Tristan around saying, "No, No Tis-ten." He was looking out for his well being! Thanks to MeeMaw for babysitting all the days we were out absorbing adult conversation and American history. It was such a needed time!
Arlington National Cemetary was my favorite. I had been on a short D.C. trip once before and did not make it there. I was deeply moved and reminded how important our military is to our country! I am much more mindful now of praying for our soldiers.
Iwo Jima
Two silly monkeys. They did not get bored one time! Thanks to endless amounts of chocolate bears, gold fish, raisins, cookies and milkshakes, the vacation was a huge success!!
