My 4 Month Old

Talking to Poppy
Shirt says it all!
A Pug and a Mug
"Hey, cuties!"Big boy!

"You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you." Psalm 118:28

How could I have ever dreamed of such a joy? And it keeps getting better and better...

Tristan at 4 months is my favorite stage thus far! How can you not love being greeted each morning with the sounds of giggles only to find him laughing to himself and smiling? It makes me eager to wake up. Or the way now when he is eating, he will stop and look up at me and listen intently to what I am saying. He is easy to entertain--only he finds me absolutely glamorous and perfect with morning breath and wild early morning hair. To him, I am the greatest performer of all time.

After a visit to the Dr. this morning, I find my little guy is taller than he is weighty. A characteristic he clearly gets from good 'ole dad. He is still the spitting image of me in the face though. Although I will say, this week I have seen little traces of his daddy in him here and there. A wonderful little mixture of both, I suppose. Tristan rolled over today with great determination, I might add. It is so strange how those milestones happen in the literal blink of an eye! We can't see them yet, but there are teeth lurking beneath the surface of his tender little gums--he lets me know this with loud shouts and lots and lots of drool. Of course now, we are reaching to put everything in the mouth. This is something I will have to deal with as a self proclaimed "germaphobe". Tristan has also become very, very vocal. I know it seems to early, but he knows when I leave the room and shouts for me to return to him. Oh boy~what will this be like in a few months?! I have found Tristan to quite possibly be the most observant child on earth (surely I am not being biased) as he tracks everyone's movement and listens almost eerily to what you are saying. Some people have told me, "he is so serious", but I think he is in deep thought. Except not when he is with familiar faces...then, he is all giggles and smiles!

I love rocking my little man to sleep at nap time. I love that he sleeps through the night. I love the way he interacts with Brent and how it is so different than the way he interacts with me. I love his lone dimple and his big electric blue eyes. I love his pouty face. I love his grin. I love that he needs a strict schedule to go on. Mostly, I am in love with the greatest gift God has ever given me.

All I know of you and your little boy is from your blog...however, every new picture you post, I think he gets cuter and cuter. Your posts on "being a mommy" are too sweet. I love hearing moms brag on their children and appreciate every second with their little ones.

Oh he is so cute. Okay so I can't get my little one to sleep through the night and am too worried to put her on her stomach at night, BUT I know that she would probably sleep better that way. She still has a hard time going down and then getting up at like 3 or 4 in the morning.
So I can't wait til she is interacting more like your little boy. He is so cute.
