Happy Boy!
This is my "Smart boy" look
Psalm 127:3 " Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him."
2 weeks has certainly flown by! I am still in awe at the fact that my little button should still be inside of me. I often wonder what life would be like for those final 3 weeks without him here--I cannot imagine having had to wait for the joy! I can't believe how much I have grown with him being in the outside world for 14 days! Nothing can prepare you for the way you will change. A change that is for the better. A love that no one can comprehend.
Little Tristan is certainly becoming a little man, as we call him. He is alert and I mean watching you, watching me...taking it all in. I suppose everyone thinks their child is alert and aware at this point, but I have never seen an infant quite as observant. After his feedings, he will stay up for an hour and a half watching if I let him. It sort of scares me! He is to be one of those children who truly hears and repeats everything you do or say!!
He is an angel, but that is not to say he does not have his fits! When he wants it, he wants it NOW! That comes as no surprise when you think about his mom and dad. He hates to be changed whether diaper or clothes. He prefers to be in a diaper only, so I usually let him hang out with me that way. He loves to be held, bounced and rocked! His all time favorite thing is to be sang to...instant quiet and there goes the listening and watching face as soon as I begin to sing! LOVES it! He also loves after bath, when we bundle him in his towel, lotion him up and daddy tells him a crazy story! He went to the Dr. yesterday and gained a pound--putting him at 7.5 pounds now! Pretty good! He still cannot fit into any of his cute outfits, so he lives in his plain old onesies~hopefully by the time he can hit the town, he will be going out in style--I am dying to show him off!
I feel he is pretty easy to read. Sleeps thru the night except his 3:45 a.m. feeding--which is so far like clockwork. Hates a peepee diaper. Loves his pacifier. I can usually decipher between which cry is for what. I am surprised at how fun staying home with him has been. We leisurely wake up and eat and play and before I know it 3 hours with unbrushed teeth and hair have gone by! My shower starts at about 3:00 p.m. and I usually get ready for no reason--just to look decent for myself! Pretty funny! All and all...life is so sweet right now.

OH I wish I could come by and love on him! He is so tiny and precious! I love babies in just diapers! I always want to take their clothes off so I can see their bellys and sweet skin but then their moms think I'm mean.
Look at that baby smiling! Babies don't smile that early-I agree, he must be a genius! Such a sweet smart boy!
I'm so glad to hear things are going so well for you and can't wait to hear more as the days go by....in your pjs! I'm right there with ya!
I could just eat him up! He is even more beautiful in person! Such a sweet baby, and I loved seeing you as a mother! Maybe next time we'll work on figuring out a way to take a pic of James and Tristan! Ha!
He's so tiny! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying being at home...that's one of the things I wonder about. Is it going to be boring? Am I going to feel like I should constantly be cleaning the house? Or will I even have any energy at all? But it sounds like everything's working just fine for you!
oh nic...he is SO incredibly beautiful..so widdle!! i want to hold and love on him!
Happy Belated Birthday!!! Hope your first bday as a mother was great!
