Leaving the hospital! (finally)Welcome to the world my new love. I did not know life could be this sweet.
Tristan Michael started to make his entrance with a very surprising water break at 11:00 pm on 2/13. Shaking and scared out of my mind I headed to the hospital. He was delivered the next day, Valentine's Day, at 8:32 a.m. Great labor! Yes, I did get the epidural and God bless those of you who do not! I have to say, I LOVED labor. This is really weird, but it is a huge privilege to deliver a child--no matter how you do it. Wow. He had some minor breathing issues, but was never on oxygen or anything. He was literally considered term on that very day, so his lungs were still "young", but that resolved after several hours. He has a minor fever spike for a couple of days (not really sure why--no infections found!) and I was Group B Strep positive, so we had to stay in the hospital for an extra couple of days. All is well! He is BEAUTIFUL (but I am a little biased)!
