"5 more weeks..." says my aching back, "Are you kidding me"?

You guys, I am really feeling this pregnancy thing! My front is so big, it is really getting hard to move around! I am soooo curious to see how the next 5 weeks turn out! Did anyone else feel this way? Anyway, all whining aside, I am trucking on! Brent was gone this weekend and the only obligation I had was a baby shower Saturday morning for my friend, Libby. So, I rested, rested, rested! I also got to cracking on Tristan’s room, washed his newborn clothes, put diapers away, tried to organize and put shower stuff away. I think it was very productive. I still need to hang pictures and my curtains, and get a crib mattress! On Sunday, I am proud to say, I did not shower at all! Woohoo! I went to the grocery store early in the morning, skipped church (hiss) and cooked and froze meals all day! Between preparing the meals, I would have to lie down and rest-my Braxton-Hicks would get really bad with me being on my feet, but I persisted and finished 6 meals! I realized I did have a little problem. I don’t really have any room in my freezer! We do not have a big freezer, so I am using the one with our fridge. I think I only have room for like 3 more meals! Still, better than none! I even made chocolate chip cookie dough and froze it! Needless to say, I am a little tuckered out today!!

Wow! You are SO much more prepared than I am!! I'm super impressed. Be sure to take some time over these next five weeks to rest! :) Oh, and my OB in Waco said that if you aren't feeling the aches of pregnancy, then you are not ready to deliver... I suppose that means the more uncomfortable you are, the closer to the end you are. :)

That is awesome, Nicki! Sounds like that nesting instinct has been waiting to come out and cook up a storm! I'm so impressed--that is a lot of food! Was it amazing cleaning his things and getting everything ready for him? I think that would be incredible...truly preparing the place for your little one.

l,
it was fun, but sort of surreal! it freaked me out a little--his clothes are so, so small! it does not seem real just yet!
ps...thanks for the recipes, i am cooking yours next week! woohoo! hey, what do you store frozen soup in?? i think i have asked you before, but i forgot!

N-
I store frozen soup in the large Ziploc freezer bags. It works great because you can lay it flat in the freezer and it takes up little space...then you can stack multiple bags on top of one another. WORD TO THE WISE...Invest in the "expensive" version...it's worth the extra cost for no spilly spilly!

I'm glad you're going to 2 days a week! It sounds like your body is telling you to SLOW DOWN! If you need me to do anything for you, please call! I'm getting giddy for Tristan's arrival!!
