"Lord, I am overflowing with your blessings, just as you promised." Psalms119:65
6 to go...
Trust me. I am counting down the days! I find my self more and more excited everyday that clicks by! The whole thing is filled with excitement! The first contraction, the drive to the hospital, the pushing--it is all marked with mystery! As my fingers swell and get fat, along with my nose, I fear--I am growing increasingly tired and diasabled. Or what seems disabled in my eyes--I don't think it should be such a chore to turn over in bed or get out of the car!
I am starting to notice things that seriously need to be done before baby. 1. Pack a bag and take with me. 2. Get his room ready--though I still find myself paralyzed when trying to do that, remembering a.) I don't know how or where to start--I do not have a child b.) I have seriously little room for his stuff. 3. Put a careseat in the car 4. Take things back from the showers. 5. Cook those Oh-So-Magnificent meals I planned on cooking and freezing before his arrival. Sometimes 6 weeks seems like a cruel eternity, sometimes it feels like a blink of an eye! I am guessing physically it will be one and mentally it will be another.
This week was marked with some tragedies. My grandparent lost their house in a fire. However, they will be restoring it, so it will be up again in several months. Brent's great Aunt died this week as well. Both events were terribly sad, but the Lord is good and He has timing for all things and a season for everything.
This week did also have many joys! I helped give a shower for a dear friend of mine whose baby is going to be born just before Tristan. Also, the following day, my dear friends from work threw me another shower for church buddies and work pals! The theme was "Tristan is a Treasure" and it was over the top beautiful and so wonderful! I am in awe of how blessed this little man is already! He was showered with not only TONS of presents (his dad has an anxiety attack when he looks at the nursery and what all needs to be put away) but also showered with wonderful prayers over his life. It was refreshing to be amongst so many people I love! One of the hostesses, Kelly, has a little one coming in July, I just know they are going to be little buds one day!! I also got to spend some time with my dear friend, Angie, who came all the way from Houston just for us!! I have incredible friends!!!
Brent will be traveling to Kentucky with a friend, Justin, this weekend to watch UK vs. Tennesee. Why? Not sure. The man loves his college hoops. Please pray for his safety, and also that I DO NOT go into labor with his first born while he is gone!!

I'll try to take good care of Brent, thanks for letting him take me to KY!
We won't be gone long!
And if it's born while we're at Rupp then his middle name should be Randolph, or Adolph, or Tubby... ;-)
justin,
i may settle for tubby...
just not sure adolph has a good ring to it!
I was sorry to hear about your grandparents house. So glad they're both O.K. Love the theme for your shower, "Tristan Is a Treasure". How special!
