“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15
I thought this was a fitting verse for parents and parents to be! The Lord is so good to love us the way that He does!
Wow! What a week! The ultimate event was little Colton Jones being born on Friday! It was so precious to see the little bundle whom we had all prayed for and wondered about! It is so weird to now see him--and to think I knew about him when he was a little lima bean! He turned out to be quite a handsome little man. I cannot wait to spoil him with love and spend more time with him! I will only get to be an aunt without one of my own for 3 months, so I better do it up right!
Tristan wanted to write about his eventful week!
hi everyone. i had an eventful week. i got to go up to the hospital and listen to my cousin, colton. i tried to kick him and punch him when mommy was holding him to let him know i was here with him. he mainly slept, i think. i can't wait to play with him! i think we are going to have so much with our daddies. we will ask them to take us hunting and fishing and ,of course, to all the baylor basketball games. i wonder if colton will like me!? i already love him!
last night mommy went to play bunko with her friends. they were loud and they jabbed at me a lot. i think they woke betsy grace up in the other room! mommy also drank white hot chocolate that aunt mimi made and it was soooo good! i kicked for the rest of the night! those ladies are crazy! mommy has really worn me out!
daddy says he is ready for me, but i think i will wait a bit longer. bye for now!
This week has made everything more real. I am anxious about labor and motherhood. I keep thinking about what kind of mom I will be and all of the things that come with this new phase in life. I am very ready and excited, but at the same time, glad I have a little while longer to prepare!!
