24 Weeks
"I have prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him" 1 Samuel 1:27
I went to the Dr. last Friday and got a check-up. Everything seemed fine, still gaining weight steadily and blood pressure good as always. Next, I will have to do the glucose test--yuck! I think the length of time you have to spend there is the worst part. Anyway, as I approach 6 months, I am constantly amazed at what a week brings.
Tristan is moving all day now. He always has been, but now his movement is more prominent, probably due to his growing body! I cherish the times we sit and visit. Even at work I am always up for pushing my chair back from my desk and talking to and rubbing my belly, knowing he hears me and hoping he takes comfort or entertainment in that! I certainly do! This week marks my last week to teach kickboxing. It really makes me sad at the thought of taking such a long break from doing something I love so much that keeps me fit, but let's be honest, it is difficult to perform a front push kick without getting a piece of your tummy! And let me tell ya....that is weird for me! It is mainly to difficult to call out and coach the class because he takes up part of my oxygen, so we run out of gas quick! I think this will be best for both of us! PLUS, I get to have FREE TIME--I am honestly not sure what that word even means. I think it has to do with relaxation and spontaneity, something I better relish in now before a bundle arrives!
Marmie, who we decided will be called Gammy, and I went fabric shopping yesterday. We found the CUTEST fabric to make curtains for all 5 of his nursery windows, and we got it all on sale! Quite a deal! My mom is so talented with all of that, I often wonder how that talent skipped me! Hopefully in the next couple weeks we will be curtain making and painting for our little man! It has been so fun!

Your tummy is gorgeous! :) How fun about your curtain fabric. :) I love deals like that!
I can't believe you're still doing the kickboxing class with that bump! I'm very impressed!
A,
it was my last week b/c of this bump! it was starting to get knicked! hahaha! now, i am on to the next thing, water aerobics!
What is a glucose test?
BTW...My mom's sewing talent skipped me as well! Can't wait to see the curtains and the room taking shape!
corrie,
it is a test they give you to check for gestational diabetes and a few other things. you have to drink a "drink", wait an hour and then they take blood. seems barfy.
