The Beginning

Today is the beginning of it. Brent has been literally counting down the hours. Football season. This weekend is particularly big for us Baylor fans. We play TCU tomorrow in hopes of a brighter season. It seems to be a good forecast for the Bears. Let's hope! So far, there are 40,000 people expected to come down for the game tomorrow. My weekend is a social hayday starting in about 2 hours. It feels like Homecoming weekend, as everyone we know and love who are BU alumn are coming to town! We are cooking out with a load of people, watching games, and tomorrow we are tailgating early, our friends Angie and Caleb among many others are coming and then...it's showtime! Crazy! I feel overwhelmed and giddy. One because so many friends at one time is always a nice feeling, but also, I just love the overall tone football season sets. Soon (hopefully) it will be cooler days and nights to enjoy the festivities. I don't know, there's just something about it.

California got beat badly to start their season (great redemtion for BU fans from the 2002 season).

Colorado lost to Montana State.

OU barely squeeked by against UAB.

Things are looking up for the fighting Baylor Bears.

Toad are going down

As much as the BU football team has been/is being hyped, I expect much more fun from the basketball team than the football team this year. For Guy Morriss' sake, I hope they can get to 6 wins though.
