Who's It Gonna Be?
Oh pllllease tell me Taylor and Elliot are in the final round. I do not heart Katharine, no way, no way. Still, my heart belongs to Mr. Hicks and Elliot has grown on me--he has a pure voice. Why would Katharine ever be picked instead of Chris? Insane. Now, I fear she will be in the top 2 and then women around the country will vote for her strictly because she is female and the one who should win will not. Just like last year. Yes, I think Bo should have won. However, I always favor men performers, I just do not love girl acts very much. The only two female performers I have ever cared about are Jewel and Sheryl Crow. The only ones. Girls are ho-hum to me. Katharine is a Broadway voice who does not really know what her real range or style should be. The guys know their bag. I know I might get reamed by the McPhee fans, but what are your thoughts??

I have never watched American Idol UNTIL last night. I watched each person sing a song or two, and I must say that I do like Taylor. I can't say that I heart him as much as you...I have only seen him sing once. I did like the girl's rendidion of "Over the Rainbow..." but I don't know much about music. Just wanted to throw in my two cents!
Yes, she sang that song beautifully, no doubt. BUT usually, she just gets on my nerves. Taylor is so fun to watch and has never been nervous, so he has never messed up. You need to watch the last 2 weeks, it is going to be a nail biter!
I don't watch American Idol, but I know fellow teachers at school were really bummed when Chris was kicked off. My real comment is actually a question. I have noticed on your blog you use links in your posts. I have tried and tried to figure out how to do this, but haven't had much luck. Can you give me some direction when you get a chance? For the record, I hate Americand Idol. I think it is sooooo drawn out and there is way to many commercial breaks. That said, for the first time I watched some of the earlier episodes and I did enjoy it because the bad singers made me laugh really hard, but I stopped there. Well, tonight, I was in a situation where it was out of my control what was on T.V. I definately would have had it on the Mavs game. That said again, I didn't like the girl at all. She did a great job on "Think" but her homecoming video was so ordinary and boring compared to the other two, and you could see that she had some kind of resentment towards her parents. She wasn't doing good on the sympathy vote and maybe a lot of the virginia guy's fans will hop on over to Taylor's side. All this to say, I won't be watching the finale, even though this entry would contradict that statement. Hope all is well!

Their small town guys have an advantage and I can only hope that now Elliots peeps will spill over to Taylor! Go Mavs, BTW! Miss watching bball with the guys at BU!
Sorry to bust up this Taylor-loving frenzy, but I have to let you know that there is at least one person in this universe who does NOT like Taylor!!!!! He drives me crazy, I can barely stand to watch him! All he does is jump around and gyrate and scream into the microphone. Sure, he has a lot of fun, but that's no reason to win a singing contest! Once Elliott left, which is a desperately sad thing in my opinion, I think there's only one person left who can sing - Katherine!!! So this is one Elliott fan who definitely moved to the Katherine camp!
