This is actually our church's website for Saturday night church. Brent and I are trying this new endeavor. Our church is wonderful, but it is getting to be enormously huge and crowded. The Saturday night service is much smaller, and very different. The worship is wonderful and the atmosphere is very "family" designed, meaning we pray personally for one another during ministry time in the service. There is a different preacher, it is just all together different. So, I am sitting here blogging on Sunday morning completely guilt free. Nice. Really it fits in with the rest of our life right now which=CHANGE.
My favorite part of the weekend was getting up early yesterday and going to Brent's freshman boy's game vs. Midway. It was like a scene out of a movie. The last game, at the "rich" school's gym, they had their music pumping, they all came running out to a special song, the parents were chanting and taunting our bunch, they had matching warm-ups. TCA doesn't even have matching shorts. Brent told the guys not to be intimidated by their nice "stuff". Then, we proceeded to KILL them. Really it was quite sad. For some reason it gave me a very satisfying feeling inside. Naughty me. Don't get me wrong, I loved my time at Midway, but it does tend to be a little snotty. Anyway, not even close. I felt a little bad for them. After the victory, we celebrated with a big fat Rico burrito and a long nap. Later that night after church Bryan, Mimi and Hula came over to watch Baylor get their keisters kicked. Great first half followed by a hard to watch second. Baffling. Mimi and I watched Bryan and Brent go from elation to depression in a 20 minute span. At least one of our teams had a victory.
Finally it is Super Bowl XXVVII or something. Super Bowl ranks up there with New Year's to me. Low. The only way I like it is if the Cowboys are in it. Otherwise, I could care less. You feel obligated to have special plans and always end up spreading yourself thin. I love getting to spend time with friends, but I would rather just have dinner. Tonight we have 2 house parties to attend. It will be fun, I know. I just have to get up at 5:00a.m. the next morning so I start to freak out at about 7:00 telling Brent we need to get home so I can go to bed. Go Steelers. What is everyone else doing or did you do?

I can't believe you're turning your back on our old stomping grounds! JK...I don't really care either, and I teach there!

I actually LOVE the superbowl. It's the last and biggest game of the season and is a good reason for a party!

We partied with my family. I actually was tired before it even started, so I didn't get into at all.

Neither did I. It would have helped if I cared even a smidgen about the two teams.

Superbowl wears me out too. At about 9:15 I was ready to clear out my house. People had been here since 4 and it was about time to hit the road!
SO glad y'all stopped by! :)
