Oh, Houston

I went to my good friend Angie's baby shower on Saturday. She lives in Houston. "Oh, Houston. Houston means I'm one step closer to you." Not so much actually. Houston is a drive. A long drive. Especially in the pouring rain. Still, I managed and had fun seeing my sweet friend somewhat big and with bump. Angie is going to be a great mom. She makes things. Homeade. Crafts and such. Makes a menu for what they are going to eat for the week and hangs it on the fridge. Monday: Chicken fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and chocolate cream pie. That is what it looks like. For the whole friggin' week. That is a natural mom thing. She used to really rub off on me when she lived here and I loved it. I would sort of make a menu like hers. I would cheat and every Thursday (that was our weekly dinner with them) I would steal meals from her menu. Oh, Ang'. I love ya kid. Her nursery is awesome. She painted stripes. Stripes. Do you know how long that takes? She also made a lampshade cover. I want to hate her because she makes her own lampshape covers, but instead, she is my little heart. She is my God-sent friend and I love her for that. I am mad at Houston though. What is the draw? Houston, you took our friends. Give them back please.
